Your parents always promised to get you a dog when you got older but that just never happened. Everyone grew up with dogs but you :(
Every time you go to your friend’s place to see their dog everyone pets it. You do too, but it’s different :/

If you drop food on the floor, you have to just clean it up. No one eats it for you.
You don’t really understand the mechanics of a pooper scooper but you know it’s worth it for your furry friend.
When you step in dog poop it’s only a reminder of what you could have had.
You come to the realization that dogs are a huge responsibility, which is probably why your parents wouldn’t let you get one.
But some day, you will and you’ll have the best breed of friend.
