Telstra Just Tweeted About The Moon Landing...But They Got The Date Wrong

Which is kind of important, yeh?

Earlier today, Australian telephone company Telstra tweeted out this message to its followers. They were quick to react.

@Telstra Wrong date entirely? Better delete this before it goes Viral.

The tweet was quickly deleted and replaced with this:

#OnThisDay in 1969, Apollo 11 embarked on their mission to the moon & we helped broadcast it! http://t.co/rEPl4F1z7s

    Some people spotted it...

@Telstra Good pulldown and edit. I would of just waited till Landing day, but this is better.

Whilst Telstra tried their best to own up to it.

@IamSpectre01 I have ninja editing skills thankfully #ThatAwkwardMoment - Jamie

The whole thing was just, well, pretty awkward.

    H/T to this Reddit thread.
