Google Put A Camera On A Camel's Back To Map The Desert

Because how else would you do it?

Google has stepped up its surveying game by mapping the Liwa Desert, a 100km wide oasis area in the United Arab Emirates.

They did so in the same way they do streets - although were unable to use a car.

So they used a camel instead.

The footage is beautiful, and allows **everyone** to explore a crazy part of the world from their home.

You can check out the whole desert here.

And check out the promo vid here.
