Chris Gayle Will Sue Over Claim He Flashed His Penis To Female Staff Member

The Melbourne Renegades cricketer has retained a media lawyer to immediately commence defamation proceedings against Fairfax Media.

West Indies and Melbourne Renegades cricketer Chris Gayle will be taking legal action against Fairfax Media over reports that he indecently exposed himself to a woman during last year Cricket World Cup, says Fox Sports News.

BREAKING: Chris Gayle to take legal action against Fairfax Media over indecent exposure reports. LAWYERS STATEMENT:

In the article, Fairfax alleges Gayle exposed himself to a woman working around the West Indies cricket team during the World Cup by pulling his towel down and revealing part of his genitals before saying "are you looking for this?"

The announcement follows comments made by Gayle earlier this week towards Channel 10 journalist Mel McLaughlin. In a post-match interview he said he "wanted to come and interview with her just to see her eyes for the first time."

He then asked McLaughlin if she was interested in "maybe some drinks later," telling her "not to blush baby."

Gayle faced public backlash following the remarks, as well as a $10,000 fine handed down to him from the Melbourne Renegades.
