You beat me to it.  I can’t speak for trans people, but as a homosexual male, I would MUCH rather answer some misguided questions here and there than have to respond to hate speech or things of that nature. Unless someone is being overtly and intentionally insensitive, most questions come from natural curiosity. I’m sure I’m guilty of offending someone by asking what I thought was an innocuous question, but it’s never been because I was trying to be rude.  But hey, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion!
