Morally acceptable to who? Also, do you think…

boopbop a year ago“Morally acceptable to who?” Really? That’s your response to this? Many atrocities have been committed in the name of various religions or belief systems by people who felt they were in the right. I’m saying that just because you believe that homosexuality is a sin based (presumably) on a few bible passages, doesn’t make it a morally defensible view. To who? Every sane and rational person. When you vote to prevent gay people from receiving equal rights under the law, that is taking a concrete action of oppression. Simply stating your opinion only reveals your own short-sidedness.

alpha a year ago…is. (jk, just being a troll) I’m arguing that the members of this church and a lot of Christians are unfairly labeled as homophobic and hateful bigots simply for believing marriage is between one man and one woman. It doesn’t mean they hate gay people and it doesn’t mean they wouldn’t welcome them to their church.

alpha a year agoWhat if my views on homosexuality come from science? Would a sane and rational person not see that homosexuality carries no benefits for our species? And therefore find no reason to praise and promote it? And I’d hate to take the side of moral relativism on this, but who decides what is sane and rational? The majority? Gay marriage has been voted down numerous times. Are we saying a majority of the US is insane and irrational? Are you calling yourself sane and rational? We’re getting off topic here so back to the actual points harrison and I are making: Not sure what “shortsided
