A Toronto Journalist offered panhandlers a credit card if they asked him for money. This is what they did with it. Original story via Toronto Star, Infographic via Bite Daily.
I feel like the list would have made me happier if it had been in the opposite order, with Laurie first and Jason last. But that's not really the point, I guess.
You don't need him, Joanne!
Cell phone minutes?!!
Bitch, you're homeless. Look at your life! Look at your choices!
If you could buy meth, crack cocaine, or weed with a pre-paid credit card … the outcome of this experiment would surely differ.
Al must have died on his way to McD's and the liquor store.
Whats with hobos and McDonalds?… I guess it taste no different to the dumpster crap they're used to. BTW im typing this while eating a delicious, delicious sausage mcmuffin….. sigh*
In 2005 there was a documentary called “Reversal of Fortune” (not the Jeremy Irons movie) in which a homeless man is given $100,000. The ensuing train-wreck is pure sensationalism, but I wonder what the outcome would have been if Jason had been given the money.
We need to track down this Jason and give him a ton of money.
Is this a social experiment or something?
Clearly, Al doesn't know how to use a credit card.
Or the meaning of “borrow…”
jason (the first guy) makes it all worth it
Why would you lend credit cards to the homeless? Just wondering…
Interesting.
