Those who believe that the state has the right to control your every action are going to argue that Gosling was wrong because he took it upon himself to decide whether his partner lived or died. They will conveniently ignore the fact that keeping euthanasia illegal is nearly 100% of the reason why he was forced to make the decision and act in that way—and so they will deny the ironic reality: Their hands were right there on that pillow with Mr. Gosling's, and they are every bit as responsible for the outcome when people are forced into such terrible choices by the authoritarian savages who believe that they have the right to dictate morality to the rest of humanity.
