bethg4 a year agoI wonder if she might be diagnosed with Asbergers if she were alive now. A couple who had employed her as a nanny said that she was quiet and she was very private.
Sometimes Autistic people with stunning gifts are unkindly called Idiotic Savants. She isn’t that extreme, i.e., she held down a job and had no noticeable need for assistance to live her life.
Also even her colour pictures are subdued and beautiful. To handle colour that wonderfully after years of black and white…a gift.

I don’t think an Aspie would be as perceptive of the subtle humor and drama in everyday life occurrences. That just isn’t what they focus on.
Sometimes people just prefer to be observers in life. It doesn’t mean they have a disorder. -

Riff 2 years agoProbably. Far too many kids are over-diagnosed with Asperger’s or autism these days because they’re quiet or introverted. I know I definitely would have been based on my behavior as a child and I was born in 1989… Y’know, she might have simply just been a quiet person and a great photographer.
