I'm surprised to see more than one person has no idea how much money the state spends on a death row prisoner. If you're going to be so pro-death penalty you should probably read about what it entails; the costs are way more than a prisoner in jail for life because of the unlimited appeal process.

I know, right? Cause when some guy kidnaps a 7 year old, sodomizes him over and over and over before making him drink bleach and burning him alive from the inside out, that guy should definitely be spared the death penalty because, who knows, he could PROBABLY clean up his act and go on to manage a Staples or something.

Nice video. I still believe that somebody that murders another human being for no reason don't deserve to live. I also think that somebody who tortured and killed another person should be killed in a very inhuman way as well. I find it very unjust to just inject him with something that will let him die peacefully… better throw them in a pool with hungry sharks.  @Darrell Davis, Jr, how is hanging somebody more expensive than housing him on a prison for life? why do they have to use expensive poisons?? Why would you take away his responsibilities and basically give him a life better than homeless people?.

I kept wondering why they were using the music from the Truman Show… Then I realized I was wrong. Lovely though.

It's a beautiful video, but I'm predisposed to appreciate it. I think for a campaign to get a foothold in the US, all it needs to do is inform viewers that the death penalty is more expensive than life imprisonment. Most people don't know it, it's a shock to discover, and hopefully some journalists could confront some “fiscal conservatives” with it.

Oddly enough, it reminds me of the Halo 3 “Believe” ad.
