    Meet The Man With The Most Important Contemporary Art Collection In Latin America

    Eugenio Lopez is said to possess the most significant pieces of international contemporary art in Latin America. Here he is cozying up to a Donald Judd.

    His art collection is so incredible that he's opening his own museum in Mexico City, Museo Jumex, November 17.

    Photographer Douglas Friedman captured Lopez at home for Cultured's fall issue.

    "I wanted to find moments in the house that on their own – without Eugenio – would be beautiful, then add him in to create balance," Friedman said. "He gave me unfettered access to his property and it was such a privilege to shoot with Donald Judd and Jeff Koons sculptures – to be so close to them and interact intimately with them."
