Thank you. Like so many people, I struggle with depression everyday. Sometimes is just trying to shower, sometimes it’s trying to make it to the next day, or even the next hour. I used to be crushed when people would say these things to me, that terrible feeling of being broken and less of a person because you can’t simply “cheer up” & “get over it”. As I got older and more aware of my mental health, I realized I wasn’t letting people down beacaue I was “bringing them down” or “pathetic” or a “bummer”, these people had let me down for not even trying to realize that it was more difficult for me, or for them just brushing so many things off as a bad attitude or bad day. There needs to be more awareness to the fact that it is hard for everyone, and some need a little bit more understanding… Just thanks for this list. I think it going to help people.
