B&F 3 months agoHolding the Catholic church up as an example of guardians of human rights is ridiculous. Of course, they waited until the miscegenation laws were struck down nationally in 1967 and after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 before they made any effort on these fronts. But before that, when discrimination was legal and to their interpretation, supported by the Bible, they looked the other way. It’s no different today.
