Because the only way to secure the opportunity to defend our ideals is to actually be able to compete against unlimited corporate spending.  Obviously, Romney and Obama should both play by different rules. Perhaps if Mitt “Corporations are people, my friend” Romney was held to any sort of standard by republicans, there would be no reason to reconsider an approach to campaign finance.
