All three of these fat Gestapo-wannabe cops deserve to die. This kid was a naked idiot at a rock festival, not some kind of hardened criminal. And just so old farts like “Wayne Y” don't mistake me for “today's youth”: I'm a 38-year-old white collar professional, formerly an offshore worker, with 4 cops in my extended family, and nothing on my record outside of a couple of speeding tickets. The militarization of our police forces is the REAL problem here—those who suffer from insecurity and the consequential need to force one's will on others should never be allowed the kind of authority or weapons these bubbas are armed with. The truth is, there are only a couple kinds of people who will jump at the chance to be paid a low salary and put their lives at risk for a job that requires them to wield overwhelming, even deadly, power in an effort to control others; a few of those people are selfless and genuinely want to help make society a better place. Many more are Neanderthal brutes who are different from dumb bar bouncers only in terms of the deadliness of their weapons. To tase this kid over and over and over again, and for the elephantine cop to drop his weight full-force onto his body simply because he was “noncompliant” with a request to clothe himself, is unconscionable. Had justice truly been served here, the crowd would have overwhelmed these thugs and torn them to shreds, leaving their bloated carcasses to collect maggots in the sun.
