People are coming down on them hard for nothing. These athletes never said “eww gay people” they just said they thought it was an anti-bullying in general psa.  Honestly if you think being bullied because of your sexuality is worse than being bullied because you’re weird/geeky/nerdy, then you’re the assholes here. All bullying is bad, and like the two athletes said, they thought it was just a bullying in general psa. The idea that “It Gets Better” is a LGBT thing and only a LGBT thing is stupid, if it helps other people then let them use it.

You misunderstood that sentence, I never said it wasn’t a fact, I said that anyone should be able to use it if it helps them Anyways, I’m not here to to argue about what cause is more important, I just wanted to pointed out that the two players agreed that the video they were in was a LGBT psa and Buzzfeed is twisting the story

As a person who was bullied for being gay, black and a nerd I agree all bullying is bad, but …ummm…it’s not an “idea” that the It Gets Better campaign is a LGBT thing, it’s a fact.  The whole purpose behind it is to let bullied LGBT teens know that it “gets better”. Maybe it’s an “asshole” thing to only focus on a singular marginalized group but it is what it is.
