I started as an office assistant with no college or office experience. The job I have now and the job before that are both for government contractors and were placed online. There are evening, weekend, and online classes, which are what I took. And I'm 34.

No, it doesn't. Minimum wage jobs aren't meant to be jobs you live off of. They are for people in school, or a part time second job. If you can't get yourself a real job, you shouldn't get rewarded with more money for doing menial work.

I received a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a 3.89 GPA 6 months ago and make $25/hr. I think the problem is people thinking their degree will get them the good paying job, when it is a combination of the degree and the experience from the lower paying jobs.
