Baiciyu 7 months agoThis made me cry. My parents have been together for 40+ years. They have gone through two bankruptcies and have lost their home both times. When I was 7, during the first bankruptcy, my father nearly died from pancreatitis and my mother from pneumonia because she wouldn’t leave my father’s side or me alone. After the house was gone and we were destitute, they tried to raise me in the hostile environment of a relative’s home where we were all mentally and physically abused. In the aftermath, when we were finally on our own, they tried to make us a family again. When I was 20 my mother had a three stroke-like brain hemorrages and invasive brain surgery that left her nearly paralyzed on her right side. My father cares for her with extreme devotion and she for him. When I married, my wedding vows meant much to me. Through it all they taught me what it is to love another person and to stick by them no matter what. If I had a digital photo of them I would post it here.
