Go to hell you dirty bastard! Rolos, milk duds, and bit-o-honey are the best.

TrashFlavoredTrash 5 months agoi can definitely appreciate the existential angst that this record brings. i think it would have walloped me had i not heard “mladic” live in march 2011 at the metro in chicago (i’ve been listening to a soundboard bootleg of that show back when “mladic” was called “albanian”). seeing that song performed live was a pretty profound experience, but it got quickly overshadowed by following it up with “9-15-00” and then “static: chart #3 / world police and friendly fire.” that entire show was incredible. in any case, i dig your article. i can definitely understand and appreciate how “‘allelujah! don’t bend! ascend!” would be the soundtrack to a very rough time in one’s life the same way that “lift yr. skinny fists like antennas to heaven” was the soundtrack to a very pivotal moment in my life. if you want to keep your sanity for the remainder of the year, i’d recommend staying away from “( )” by sigur rós…that album does me in every time.

NippyBurns 6 months agoIn all fairness it seemed the one that kept messing up did not speak English as a first language. Anyway they are all very very pretty so that warrants them to be as dumb as f*** and for us to not care

Sean T. Collins 6 months ago“bonafide rock stars have always had an authenticity about them that is hard to fake” Like David Bowie? Like art-school student/”Street Fighting Man” Mick Jagger? Like Led Zeppelin, none of whom were born in the Mississippi delta/Kashmir/Middle-Like Bob Dylan, whose name is not Bob Dylan? Rock and roll has never ever been about authenticity. To the contrary, even.

morgan 6 months agoFiona, alot of us can understand. In the past week, I’ve had to face the reality of the possibility of my cat dying. He is no longer my kitten. It’s been so hard to face. But he has always been my baby. He’s been by my side for 13 years and… It’s hard to fathom him not being there anymore. My initial reaction is to do every damn thing to keep him here. But I also don’t want him to live in pain just to keep my fear of him leaving me at bay. The decision is hard to make. But yeah, I find it hard to leave his side. I hope people don’t give Fiona any grief over it.

lexmarksthespot 7 months agoI am entirely convinced she’s really doing a spoof of the type of “cool female singer” that’s been popular recently. No way is she being serious with this stuff, she’s just toeing the line to see how much she can get away with and still have people believe she’s legitimate.
