I agree with @Deansy, Juliette's hardcore song had that more guttural, abrasive feel to it. It features a prominent, yet simple breakdown, sounding like early Earth Crisis or seminal NYC hardcore band Judge on their song “Fed Up”. Also, her lyrics are more in line with the pit mentality of early Crowbar or Matt Bruso's era of Bury Your Dead. Meanwhile, Jacob's song is more accurately late 90s, early 00s post-hardcore or screamo, because while it features a punishing breakdown, when it hits the clean vocals chorus it sounds more like underOATH circa Define The Great Line or Chiodos for its use of minor electronic flourishes. Also, Jacob's anti-women lyrical content gives it more of a midwestern skramz feel, like Orchird or Usurp Synapse in the beginning when his voice cracks a bit. Mosh on dudes!

Jar-Jar and those blurbs don't even begin to really express what's wrong with this movie. I can't imagine there ever being a more awkwardly soulless movie than Phantom Menace. It's like some emotionless, alien archaeologist found the charred ruins of our planet and attempted to make a movie to demonstrate some vague estimation of what humans might have acted like. Somehow, defying any rational explanation, its human actors sink into the furthest depths of the uncanny valley, filling the viewer with the ineffable sense that something is terribly wrong with what they're viewing and rendering the cynically insipid gesticulations of Jar-Jar into the only faint reminder that this cinematic abomination was made by members of our species. Describing Phantom Menace as a “bad movie” is not a mere insult to bad movies, it's a genuine injustice. This is a singular cinematic atrocity, the only one of its kind, and I sincerely hope that future generations will know well enough to destroy every copy and remake the prequels in the exact opposite of George Lucas's vision.
