To Anacreon in Heaven

Sound familiar? Francis Scott Key may have written the words to the Star Spangled Banner, but he sure as hell didn’t compose the music. To Anacreon in Heaven was the official song of the Anacreontic Society in London, an 18th century gentleman’s club. The original tune enjoyed popularity as a drinking song before becoming the basis of the U.S. National Anthem. So in the spirit of Anacreon, open a beer and enjoy this excellent rendition by Georgia Tech’s Glee Club!

I know, right? Now tell your friends!
