I find it amusing how this was posted within a day of the actual game taking place and then almost a week later people got on here and tagged the post “old”.

I’m Canadian and been through the healthcare system many times. Free does not always equal quality. Truth be told we still get billed for lots of stuff and healing from anything even semi-serious can be a complete nightmare. Le Sigh.

I don’t know what Americans have against our free health system… Its like if you ever have a serious illness or accident, Canada will pay for your hospital bills. And if its not too serious, you might have to wait a few months, but EH, its Free! And i don’t care if some Canadians do go down the boarder to speed up their Operation or whatever they need. If you have money, sure go south. I don’t care, not my money. But I’ll always have more freedom than you Americans. I can have it free, or pay for it. Wanna guess which one I’ll choose? And yes, we have more freedom than you American, my country doesn’t mind if i go visit Cuba:-) lol

We might have health care here in Canada, but the Premier of Newfoundland just went to the US to get his heart surgery done even though the procedure can be done in Canada…that says a lot.

They can take our health, but they can never take our VICTORY.

And a horrible unemployment rate even when there isn’t a recession. Also, Canadians need a good health care system with their high rates of heart disease and obesity (probably why America is rapidly looking to them for health care answers). Just saying. Blame Canada.

you have healthcare but I’d pay all the money in the world if I had something seriously wrong with me(like being canadian) to go to hopkins and not some shit hospital with shit doctors.
