Last summer, KFC ran a test campaign to see how people reacted to their meat and cheese monster called “The Double Down.” Yesterday, KFC announced The Double Down will be a reality starting on April 12th. (This is your fault, Internet.)
I assume this is a product for the Dr Atkins disciples who are horrified at the thought of bread and potatoes but don’t mind pumping a shed load of sat fat through their system!

Down the road from here, Farmer Brown had a lamb with one wooden leg. I asked him one day how the lamb got that way, and he told me the most amazing story. Seems a fire started downstairs one Christmas night while everyone was sleeping and the lamb crashed into the downstairs window, ran upstairs and woke everyone up. Just as the fire was getting really hot and everyone was standing out front, the lamb rushed back in the house and they all watched as it climbed out onto the porch roof with the family cat in its mouth. The lamb held it at the porch edge for farmer Brown to get it, then leaped just as the porch collapsed!
“Wow!”, I said, “is that when the lamb got a wooden leg?”
The farmer looked at me and said, “no…”
I asked again, “then how come the wooden leg?”
The farmer looked at me and said, “when you have a lamb THAT good, you don’t want to eat it all at once,”
My boyfriend’s reaction: “Why isn’t there a ‘Manly’ button for stuff like this????”
Oh my god, that looks so delicious. I am literally salivating at my computer.

Point of order Tanner: the Double Down has been a reality in some markets for months now.
