i know here in new york we never wanted it. i really don't see what the big deal is. the city will spend way too much money on stuff you'll only use once then spend the next 10yrs paying off and forever to maintain. it's like chicago lost the opportunity to go into major debt. don't really see it as a huge lost to the country or a major win for conservatives but i'm sure they have nothing better to do.
