I remember something very similar to this when I was a kid, although I was even younger than they seem in the image. That one cost me a clockwork motorcycle. It was my favorite toy. I don’t remember all the details, but never forgot the basic lesson: parents are cruel and without mercy, and you must never let them see that you care about something, or they will use it against you.
this sounds exeactly like something that my dad would have done if that were me. also, i totally agree with what he did. if they dont learn lessons from their actions now, theyll be even worse adults. children are innocent and blah blah blah, but this is the time when people develop and learn how to be responsible. you dont just turn 18 and youre magically ready for the world. i doubt he even uses the kids money to replace the tub, but made them think that for long enough to learn from the mistake.
I disgree!! I have two kids, a 5 year old and a 6 year old and trust me, they tear shit up ALL the time. Sometimes I will take something away… I can understand selling their beyblades, but to sell the rest of their toys! That’s just too harsh. I doubt the kids can even fully comprehend the punishment.
Why didn’t they just buy them a battle arena? They cost like ten dollars. (I totally used to have Beyblades when I was younger. :D)
Kids are like mini-tornados, the mass amount of destruction they can cause with the little time they are given can be mind boggling. It looks to me like these kids aren’t suffering much, they had 120 some dollars in their piggy bank? I never had that much the entire time I was a kid, even when I saved money. Those probably aren’t their only toys either. Chances are once they behave a bit better they’ll get the replacement toys in a few months.
