People should calm down. Give some evidence that emotional trauma is being done to that bear? Past that, making every little thing “horrible and abusive” is obnoxious. Bears hunt salmon in the wild, do you think that we should cover the streams that the salmon swim in to protect them? No we couldn't do that because we'd be removing the bear's food supply! Let's just give the bears synthetic fish so NO ONE GETS HURT! There are people, humans (and before some one yells at me that we have no greater value than anything else) that can think and feel, who are in situations much worse than this. But we don't really care about them, we are too busy boycotting Korea for having a little fun with a bear's reaction to caged lions.

That is just sick and sadistic. I can't believe people actually find it amusing to do this to an animal. No, the animal wasn't physically harmed, but the emotional trauma the poor little guy suffered is abuse enough. The fact that this took place in a zoo is appalling, and the fact that not only did the handler put him into the lion enclosure to be tormented, but also into the monkey enclosure, is disgusting. It really shows the sick mentality of these people. Ummm, Lisa Y., that is NOT normal procedure when training animals. That is ABUSE.

i laughed and thought it was sooo funny at first, but at the end i felt terrible for that baby cub…pretty cruel.

how poisonous is kim chee that it can affect your sense of right or wrong to this degree? this bear is never going to be released into the wild. they are going to continue to exploit it and have others come pay to see it sh*t itself on a daily basis, cause these people are not caretakers of life, they are facist cruel. they should put the cub in gas chamber and see how close they can get it to death without quite killing it next.

One one half…it's funny. The lions are tame, so the bear isn't in any REAL danger. Adult lions? Different story. However, it was pretty mean. Even though the lions and monkey were just playing, the bear didn't know any better. It's one of those videos to laugh at but you feel a little bad laughing. Kinda like laughing at people's pain on Funniest Videos or similar shows.

Damn…it started out cute (because AWWWWWWWW….real-life bear cub!!!) but it quickly got very disturbing. I felt like I was watching the poor thing be traumatized repeatedly for the sake of entertainment. I'm hardly very learned about such things, but isn't repeatedly scaring the crap out of a baby animal in its own enclosure (where it is presumably supposed to feel safe) likely to affect its behavior as an adult? I doubt that bear cubs in the wild ever experience anything approaching this, since Nature doesn't seem to be interested in playing head games with animals for the sake of our amusement. They certainly don't experience this exact situation, since Africa hasn't had native bears since the Atlas Bear died out almost 200 years ago. Oh—and wouldn't it be considered HUGELY unethical in most modern countries for a zoo to allow something like this to happen?

i'm appalled that people find this funny. no, i say it is not funny. that poor cub has been terrified and traumatized to the point that he was frightened of his own shadow. i feel so bad for him.
