I live in the WAFB viewing area, and this is not the first typo they've had on their news ribbon at the bottom of the screen. I think they need to proofread much better….as does the local newspaper.

In good ol' Indiana…John Patrick Leaf got drunk while out with his friends, they refused to let him drive home, took his keys and called him a cab. (I still get a vision of them standing around him saying, “Johnny is a Cab.”)
He took the cab home, but only then realized his friends also took the keys to his house. He broke into his own house and stumbled into bed.
A neighbor saw this occur, called the local Marshall who arrived with an Indianapolis policeman, they too, broke into the house to decide if this was a break-in for burglary. The marshall recognized Leaf, and that would have been the end of it.
Except Leaf woke up. And probably was none to kind to these two clowns standing in his bedroom.
The Indianapolis policeman (Ronald Shellnutt) then shot Leaf three times in the chest.
Dead at the scene.
For taking a cab home because he was drunk. Aftermath….Shellnutt still a cop, city got sued for a little better than $300000 (Indiana has a cap on the amount) by his sister and family.
In Indiana, you may lose your liscense driving while intoxicated, but, if you take a cab home, you may lose your life.
