Hmm… this is better if compared with eating Monkey’s brain alive when its head is served on plate.. China is sick when it comes to food.

i get that lobsters are steamed alive etc…but its alive while ur eating it! and trying to breath while they are laughing and poking it. that was the most disturbing thing ive ever seen!

this is sad.. but worse things are being done to humans today. anyways don’t blame the whole country. just a few people. worse things have been done in the US but don’t blame everyone. just some sick folks.

i just want to point out the difference between the nation of China, which has accepted/adopted very sick things; and individuals who happen to be from China or of Chinese heritage. can take it down a notch?

I think a big difference between this act and that of boiling a lobster, etc., is that this is the intentional prolonging of a creature’s suffering. From what I’ve read, and I’m not a chef, there’s no easier or quicker way to kill a lobster. There is a much easier, less painful, quicker way to kill a carp. This is deliberate cruelty for no purpose that I can see.

Sick. I guess it’s not really that surprising from a county where people eat anything that moves and crap on public sidewalks.

As GROSS as that looked to me… I have to say…. who cares? The Chinese obviously have a different culture and method than we do… of course we tend to mock them more than we should on this site… but hasn’t anyone ever seen a lobster get cooked? They get steamed alive…. anyone feel hypocritical yet? How about oysters or clams? We eat [well, some of us eat] those suckers fresh out of the ocean and steam them alive as well. Is it because they don’t have big eyes or faces that makes us NOT care? I live by fisherman’s wharf and I see old asian men fishing and slamming their fresh-caught fish head’s against the concrete 4 of 5 times until they kill them…. grosses me out but who am I to judge? Looks like they’ve been doing it all their lives…

Yet again, another reason I find the Chinese to be truly repulsive humans, along with finning sharks and leaving them to die on the ocean floor.

OMG, that is one of the most horrifying things I’ve ever seen. OMG just… OMG. How can someone even watch that? much less eat it. Alright, after seeing this and the Haarslev video I think it’s time to go vegetarian myself. This is just… OMG.
