Rolling Stones Exile On Main is a fantastic album. One of my favorites:) And oh gawd I love you so much Bruce and Joy Division…so much. You have all my feels.

I don’t know about most of these but Animals is awesome.

I definitely agree with the Spiritualized album; that was amazing. And I’m glad You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead got the recognition they deserve.

Oh God, I forgot just how good Animals is. I might have to put it on for a 10am Floyd session.

I just think people have become so used to the garbage hip hop they hear on the radio that when something decent comes out it get’s hailed as a “masterpiece”. It’s a good album, but not perfect.

So basically if an album has already been deemed a classic and enshrined they will go out on a limb and give it a 10.0? Way to take a stand.

Pitchfork is a damned good information center for new music, and their reviews have gotten more focused than the meandering, semi-autobiographical college-essay shit they used to indulge in. But the actual ratings are unreliable, unless you’re really, really, really into wimpster stuff like Animal Collective. That said, they’re right about the new KanYe album. I don’t know if it’s a “10.0”, but it’s getting seriously heavy rotation on my iPod. Not only that, but his extra-credit GOOD Friday downloads as well. Homeboy is a crazy asshole, but this year was an “annus mirabilis” for him in the studio. I still hate him, though, for making Taylor Swift so goddamned ubiqitous. Also, Pavement are wildly overrated and they put me to sleep. And this isn’t a complete list of the 10.0’s: I remember a reissue by The Fall (way better than Pavement!) getting a 10.0.

Not even against the band itself, I really dug them in high school, but Trail Of Dead is easily the weakest thing on this list.

Perfect album or not, Kayne is still a gay fish.
