Maybe someone can help me with this … What I still don't get , actually its not just one thing :) is why she (the dead wife) tries to undermine everything, it just doesn't make sense… By the way , I laughed out loud with this infographic, it's amazing :)

Why are you guys saying it was only three kicks? It was totally four. Start out backwards, 1'st Cobbs Dream/Limbo - up one to Eames dream - up one to Arthurs Dream - up one to Yusuf's dream, and finally the last kick back to reality.

I've been feeling like John Nash in A Beautiful Mind after seeing this movie because I've been making charts and hanging them up to figure out what's going on. Glad to know I'm not the only one…

no, there are four kicks -> *spoilers*: the kick out of limbo (fischer, ariadne, saito, cobb); the kick out of the mountain (eame's dream); the kick out of hotel world (arthur); the kick out of the city (yusef). but there does need to be a key with this graphic: what the heck are the plus signs representing, anyway?
the idea of it being a penrose stair is a nice touch, though.

*SPOILERS* isn't the whole point of the end the idea that we create our own reality, if you choose to believe Cobb was still dreaming or he made it out too see his kids it doesn't matter, its all about how content you are with what you perceive as real. I still like to think he made it out though

unclear info-graphic is unclear. personally i think the whole thing was a self made inception in eames' own mind. planting the idea that he wasn't dreaming anymore so that he could live with his children forever, content in limbo.  but i haven't really thought it through and checked it for inconsistencies

Yeah, the movie wasn't nearly this confusing..it's hard to create a timeline of things happening almost simultaneously. And it isn't really Cobb's dream in the end, it's limbo which inexplicably consists of the memories he's holding onto. Which brings me to the point that this doesn't work if you think (SPOILER ALERT) Cobb's dreaming in the end. Pretty though.

So basically, it's a movie about Leonardo DiCaprio playing the “Cliff Hanger” game on the Price is Right? i totally get it.
