Here's the thing: You have to admit this is true, but whether you take this as an indictment of a male-dominated world bent on oppressing women or as a mirror into humanity's inherent shallowness is up to you. This “deconstruction” seems pretty disingenuous to me. At least I hope it is. If its creator aims for irony, then perhaps it is successful. But if this person honestly believes that an examination of the Disney ideology produces only these flimsy, wanton women then he/she evidences an intellect that is as petty as it is meager. This polemical diatribe against the patriarchy adds nothing to an ongoing conversation about gender and sexuality in Disney movies or the world at large.

Lame one-dimensionsal deconstruction with a very biased agenda.

Can't you kind of see Snow White being into the latex scene after hours? She's the dirty one in that bunch.

OK, but besides their sexuality, here are some highlights on these ladies that shouldn't be over-looked: Snow White- She was extremely animal friendly [making her the “original” PETA spokesperson?] Aurora- Also a friend of the woodland creatures, this princess broke down prejudice barriers by being the first celebrity child to be raised by 3 lesbians [fairy lesbians, that is] Jasmin- She stood her ground and followed her heart, which ultimately resulted in the abolishment of the “Arranged Marriage” law in her land Ariel- UH, HELLO? Did you forget that Ariel saved Prince Eric's ass from drowning in the beginning of the movie?? He kind of owed it to her to return the favor.,. and who wouldn't give up their voice for one night with Prince Eric… oh, and plus she was an amazing collector Belle- She dedicated herself to taking care of her senile father while versing herself in world literature Cinderella- OK, technically, the prince never “saved” her, her fairy god mother did… oh, and the mice helped too. But besides that, Cinderella displayed an amazing work ethic and tolerance to bullies. I think when you DECONSTRUCT a little deeper than their sexuality, you'll find that these ladies always have been, and always be, the best role models for little girls. Disney Princess for life.
