So fake.  Also why would two gay daddies allow this to be sent to general mills? Wouldn’t this reflect badly on their parenting skills by promoting the idea that gay people can’t parent properly because they are allowing all those damn spelling mistakes? Another reason why this is fake is that I’ve witnessed my nieces write something in crayon spell something wrong and either realize they spelled it wrong or it was pointed out by an older sister or my sister(their mom) and they immediately crush it up and start over because they strive for accuracy, especially at that age their learning larger words.  Also another reason its fake is that kids at the age they learn about writing letters and such will not use crayon as their medium of choice, they want to “be grown up about things” and write will a pencil and lined paper. This is supposed to look like a preschooler did this. just say’n. so fake.

This is the kind of thing that sets the fight for equality back - people see this and they see people making a battle where one doesn’t need to be made. Whether it’s real or not it feels fake, especially with the picture being taken beforehand. Pick your battles. The important stuff that actually influences your rights, like the war over marriage - that’s what really requires your attention and efforts - not some harmless slogan that could be explained with giving your child the slightest bit of your time. “Well, daddy approves it, too.” There. You’re done. Prioritize, people.

I agree with changing the slogan only because there ARE some dingle daddies out there, and grandparents taking care of kids, and aunts, and…you get the point…  (And no, I do not think this was an unsolicited letter by a child…) Extra … for emphasis!

There is a big difference between promoting gay rights and using deceptive PETA tactics to try to change common norms of society. Every human being has a biological mother and a father. Stop pretending to be a kid to push your agenda and focus on more realistic goals for gay rights.

I, for one, am willing to give this guy the benefit of the doubt about the letter’s authenticity. Snake.

Maybe it really is still only mother approved? Have any fathers submitted a formal letter of approval to General Mills, instead of passive-aggressive, butt-hurt letters written by adults pretending to be children? I bet GM would respond favorably if the fathers sent an actual letter pointing this out.

Really? Do we have to erase the word ‘mother’ from cultural sayings and commercial slogans?

This kid is awesome! But the letter is going to MN ‘im kinda scared of the ignorant response!
