I, personally, love the Big Bang Theory, and although this clip is posted, lacking the laugh track. I think the BBT's adoring viewers fill in the gaps with their giddy and ridiculous laughter.
I'm only writing this to lock horns with the haters.

Good God this show sucks rancid donkey 'nards! Every time I hear that pencil-necked voice of the really tall scrawny guy, I want to rip the TV from the socket and dropkick it through the window. My mother watches this crap and she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so what does that tell you?

Laugh tracks are often recorded so long ago that many of the laughs you hear are from people who have long since died. Now that's awkward.

The Big Bang Theory is an acquired taste, and unless you associate with people of that intellectual level on a regular basis, most of the humorous nuance is lost.

Laugh track or no (I prefer it without, as with all shows), I still love the Big Bang Theory. It's deliciously nerdy, and reminds me of my friends. We're all nerds.

I love the “emperor's new clothes” response we get from the peanut gallery for suggesting that BBT isn't funny. Here's a possibility. We GET the jokes and references, which aren't terrible opaque or deep, and we don't like them. BBT, like many faux-niche sitcoms, strip mines a sub culture for one-liners that can be tossed into the standard “attractive girl and hapless guys” mold. Here and there, some glimmer gets through of the glory this show might have been, but by and large it isn't that great.

It may be funny, but the laugh track is what kills it for me. It is just plain awful.
