I hate to spoil everyone's fun, but Sen. Franken was objecting on behalf of Majority Leader Reid. That's why he looks apologetic. The Majority Leader made a decision to hold all senators strictly to 10 minute time limits. This was not a personal thing between Franken and Lieberman.

you know, i understand if people think sen. franken is being a bit of an ass here, but this is completely within the rules of the senate. sure he could have givin him another minute or so, but lieberman has promised to halt debate (filibuster) if he doesn't get what he wants, which is also within the rules. so i say, if you are going to be a dick within the rules, expect the same in return.
