If You Can Play, You Can Play

Miami University Redhawks support the LGBT-positive You Can Play Project.

A promotional video featuring the Miami University Ice Hockey team, with special tribute to Redhawk Brendan Burke, a member of the LGBT community who died in a car accident in 2010. Burke was the student manager of the ice hockey team at Miami University, and youngest son of Brian Burke (president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs).

The You Can Play Project was founded at Miami University and offers the following pledge: “Locker rooms should be safe and sports venues should be free from homophobia. Athletes should be judged on talent, heart and work ethic, not sexual orientation.”
