Response to Moms, Tell Us How You Survived Bedrest:
I spent 8 MONTHS on bedrest. I watched a ton of TV, read a few books, worried too much about the middle school art classroom I was leaving in someone else’s [incapable] hands, and I bonded with our new kitten (who enjoyed laying on my pregnant belly). I also watched our neighbors like a hawk out of pure nosiness, I nested as if the baby could be there at any second (which he could’ve with the high-risk pregnancy), and alone I was mostly alone during the day for those 8 months (aside from 20 daily phone calls from my mom), I thoroughly enjoyed the moments I spent- just me and my pregnant belly. Begging him to stay put for just a little bit longer… ?
