Artist Donates Giant Naked Pregnant Woman Statue To Seaside Town

The townsfolk are not uniformly thrilled.

Artist Damien Hirst has donated his 65-foot-tall sculpture Verity to the English coastal town of Ilfracombe. It’s being installed today.

One displeased Ilfracombe resident wrote, “This is not great art. It is a meretricious attempt at acceptance by modeling the lovely figure of a young girl and adding a brutal slash to reveal the fetus. Soft porn masqueraded as art.”
