Who doesn't love these adorable marsupials. And as the national symbol of Australia, this is one animal that you can't help but love.
3. Heath Ledger (RIP)
Gone but not forgotten. This Austrailian born actor may have been taken from us too soon, but we will always have "10 Things I Hate About You," "Brokeback Mountain" and "The Dark Knight." We love you, Heath!

This lovely piece of fruit is named after Maria Ana (Granny) Smith and originated in Australia from a seedling planted by Smith. Just another reason why Australia is awesome.
