This book is 70 shades of messed up, and I loved every last word of it. Read RAW if you're strong enough to handle the dark, twisted underbelly of humanity and get turned on by it.

2. Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder

This book was tied for my favorite of last year, not just for the taboo nature of the romance, but because the sex scenes are tremendously intense. Falling Into You destroyed my emotions on every possible level.

3. Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan

Set aside the time to invest in these books. The Songs of Submission series is wholly and completely worth the cost and time investment. It is impeccably written, beyond sexy, all-encompassing, and filled with unexpected dramatic twists and turns that had me foregoing all of my motherly, wifely, and professional responsibilities.

5. Try by Ella Frank

Try is all about the down and deliciously dirty coupling of two hot men—Logan, a bisexual manwhore lawyer and Tate, a straight divorced bartender. Spoiler alert: Tate finds out he's not as straight as he thought he once was. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better Gay Romance book sold by traditional publishers.

6. Arsen by Mia Asher

Arsen tore up my insides, spread them out on the sidewalk, and sizzled them up like a fried egg on a summer day. The sex is hot and forbidden, and the tension builds up chapter after chapter until something has to break. And what breaks is my heart, but over whom? I'm still not sure.

The sex in Frenched is so over-the-top-hot, I need to re-read some of the scenes just to remind myself of how sex in books is supposed to be.

I learned names for private parts — both male and female — I'd never heard before, and I thought I'd heard them all. Basically, I want to be Letty when I grow up. Fans of this trilogy are not just fans; they are borderline obsessive. With a Facebook fan group of over 12,000 devoted readers, Driven, Fueled, and Crashed, is one of the surprise mega hit trilogies since Fifty Shades of Grey.

10. Creed by Kristen Ashley

Creed is one of the dirtiest talkers out of all Kristen Ashley alpha males, and even though I read this book in 2012, I can't get him out of my head. This book fits in so much history and badassness and sadness and longing and heart that I can easily say that Creed is not only my favorite Kristen Ashley book, but it's one of my favorite smut books ever.

11. UnBeautifully by Madeline Sheehan

UnBeautifully is the second in Madeline Sheehan's Undeniable series, and I recommend reading them in order, but this is my favorite of all the released books. Motorcycle Club smut books are meant to be just like these.

12. Blind Obsession by Ella Frank

Blind Obsession is not a romance book. You've been warned. It's a mystery shrouded in sexual tension and erotic fantasies. This is the second Ella Frank book on this list, and that's because she's one of the best Indie writers working today.
