Newt’s Climate Change Flip-Flop
Newt Gingrich campaigning in Golden, Colorado today said we “don’t know,” if climate change is occurring.” Gingrich cites his work as “amateur paleontologist,” and says he “always opposed cap and-trade.” But in a 2007 forum with John Kerry on climate change Gingrich said “the evidence is sufficient to move towards the most effective possible steps to remove carbon loading in the atmosphere.”

Brendan K. a year agoIt’s unfortunate that agreeing with an overwhelming scientific consensus (97-98% of actively publishing climatologists) is risky politics. Honestly, these clips aren’t as bad as I thought they would be. Especially considering Newt recently removed a chapter dealing with global warming from a book he’s publishing, right after Rush Limbaugh brought it up on the radio.
