Mike Huckabee Is Constantly Comparing Things To The Nazis

"And by the way, [caller] know, that when you bring that up you get people who get crazy on us, and they'll start saying, 'Oh there you go comparing to the Nazis.'"

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee generated headlines over the weekend when he said President Obama's Iran deal would "will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven."

"It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians," Huckabee said to Breitbart.com on Saturday. "By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven. This is the most idiotic thing, this Iran deal. It should be rejected by both Democrats and Republicans in Congress and by the American people."

References to Nazi Germany are not new from the former Arkansas governor. Here's a quick rundown:

Speaking on his radio program in 2013, Huckabee said comparing President Obama's gun control agenda to the Nazis was "very true" and not "crazy."

CALLER: I'm very concerned, it seems like there's so many people who have not read and do not understand how quickly Germany was turned into, it was a democracy, then turned into a dictatorship by everyone having to register their guns and then they went door to door and collected them.

HUCKABEE: People do forget that. And by the way, [caller] know, that when you bring that up you get people who get crazy on us, and they'll start saying, "Oh there you go comparing to the Nazis." And I understand the reaction, but it's the truth. You cannot take people's rights away if they're resisting and if they have the means to resist, but once they're disarmed and the people who are trying to take over have all the power, not just political, not just financial, but they have the physical power to domesticate us and to subjugate us to our will there's not a whole lot we can do about it other than just plan to die in the course of resistance. It's very true [caller], and I appreciate you bringing it up. I know that people are probably calling and saying you know you shouldn't have brought that up. In every society and culture where dictators take over, one of the things they have to do is get control of the military and the police and ultimately all of the citizens and make sure the citizens are disarmed and can't fight in the streets. Gosh I hope it doesn't come to that.

Last Week, Huckabee said an undercover video that purports to show Planned Parenthood’s national medical director discussing the sale of fetal body parts harvested from abortions is one the worst things we’ve seen since the Nazis.

“What’s maybe the most the disturbing part of it is to watch this women talk about selling baby parts, specifically the lungs, the heart, the livers, the lower extremities, and how to use the forceps as to not to crush them and damage the parts — when the baby has already been murdered,” Huckabee told radio host Eric Metaxas on Wednesday.

“And for her to do all of this conversation and to talk about how much each of those parts brings, with a fork in her hand as she sits and enjoys a casual lunch. It is bad enough that someone would be so devoid of any sense of decency and civilized behavior that they would treat a human being and the various elements of that human being as commodities to be traded and sold on the market place. But to do it over lunch, I just found myself chilled and thinking, only since the Nazis have we seen such coldblooded indifference to human life.”

In a speech in November of 2014, Huckabee linked abortion to the Holocaust.

"We wonder with some sense of bewilderment, how is it possible that since 1973 alone over 55 million unborn children have died in what should have been the safest place that that baby ever experienced, the womb of its mother? How did that happen? Because our pulpits were silent and forgot and failed to teach that every human life has value and worth and there's no such thing as a disposable, expendable human being, that all of us are created equal. Even our Constitution, our founders, acknowledge that, and our Bible affirms it. And our failure to speak it because it was a political issue will cause us one day to stand before a holy God with blood on our hands and explain why we did not cry out against that slaughter of 55 million.

"If you felt something incredibly powerful at Auschwitz and Birkenau over the 11 million killed worldwide and the 1.5 million killed on those grounds, cannot we feel something extraordinary about 55 million murdered in our own country in the wombs of their mothers? Does that not speak to us? And the foundation of our society and culture, marriage, not only by which we produce the next generation but it is the entity through which God has chosen for us to create the next generation and train them to be our replacements, and when we tinker with its definition and we decide that it can mean anything we wish for it to mean and that rather than to take a biblical perspective we will take a very human one and we will base marriage on human experience and desire as opposed to biblical standard, then I fear that we will pay the consequences for having upended the very foundation which is the essence of how a civilization survives. So the soul of America is in real trouble."

Huckabee similarly called abortion a holocaust in 2007 during his first presidential campaign.

"Sometimes we talk about why we're importing so many people in our workforce," the former Arkansas governor said. "It might be for the last 35 years, we have aborted more than a million people who would have been in our workforce had we not had the holocaust of liberalized abortion under a flawed Supreme Court ruling in 1973."
