President Obama has come under fire for the negative tone of his 2012 reelection campaign. In a 2004 speech at a forum of his best selling book, Obama condemned negative “slash-and-burn” politics as damaging to democracy and especially Democrats.

TAC 9 months agoObama’s campaign isn’t particularly negative. Romney is just such a punk that he can’t take anyone saying anything bad about him. He can dish it, but can’t take it. Romney’s entire campaign is about being negative about the President; it’s the only thing he can run on. He can’t run on his record at Bain and has explicitly asked that the President not mention it. He can’t run on his record as governor. He hides every aspect of his life and his work, and he won’t give us details about what he’d like to do as president. All he can do is hope that the President won’t say bad things about him. Pathetic.
