3.When you go on a road trip with the entire family, and you pray the car would go into hyper-drive.
4.When your parents are setting you up with a stranger, and you must like them, because they're tired of looking for your future life partner.
5.When you mess up, and you're trying to gain some sympathy points with mom.
6.When you're going out, and your parents give you the third degree, and ask you questions like, "Are you going to do drugs, where is this drug infested rave you're going to?"
7.When your parents actually find incriminating substances in your room, and you're trying to tell them they aren't yours.
8.When your parents sit you down, and finally have THAT talk with you about "the birds and the bees."
9.When your dad sits you down, and explains to you the ins and outs of cricket in his day, and you really just DGAF.
10.When your mum asks you a seemingly innocuous question about that new girl you've been talking to.
11.When your friends are over and your mom INSISTS on yelling "Chintuuuu beta!"
12.When your dad asks you what you're doing with your life.
13.When you're trying to explain technology to your dad as if he was a five-year-old.
14.When your father tries to get you to take his side in argument with your mother.
15.And then when he thinks you're wavering onto your mum's side.
16.When you forget about family night, and you're about to leave the house.
17.When you see old videos of your parents and they're dancing, drinking, and partying.
18.When you go for a family wedding, and your dad sits you down and compares you with your successful cousins.
19.When you forget to air out your room after smoking, and your mom can smell it like a bloodhound.
20.When you're blasting your music, and your dad walks in.
21.And when they finally accept that you have to eventually get out from under their wing.
22.And you realise that you wouldn't have made it this far without them...
... And that they're the reason you are who you are.
