Im not sure where you get your information about an intravaginal probe. Im an ultrasound tech, and it doesnt sound like you know what you’re talking about. There is only one probe used, and it is sterilized, and covered before each procedure. No patient purchases a probe or has to pay for one. Thats like saying a patient has to pay for the speculum at her yearly pap. I also disagree about an ultrasound being a medically unnecessary procedure. I would think an abortion doctor would want to confirm a singular intrauterine pregnancy and rule out things like an ectopic pregnancy or multiple fetus’.
