Those conservatives, as well as Bob Basso, should read The Age Of Reason as well as actually reading Common Sense. Or at least look at the Wiki.  Thomas Paine was a Deist (read: did not like Christianity) and was a staunch believer in a representative democracy, including the electoral college. Maybe people should stop wasting perfectly good tea, and start reading.
