The Ten Biggest Scandals In NCAA History

Almost ready 10 months agoGood list but I feel like SMU was used as a scapegoat for a culture of corruption that had overtaken Texas Football. I might include the rampant drug use that lead to the death of Len Bias.

whoiswillo 10 months agoI have no doubt that SMU was used as an example school, and that the NCAA fully intended to use it as a demonstration, similar to Alderaan in Star Wars. The NCAA even would alter admit that they underestimated the level of devastation caused by the Death Penalty, which is why they haven’t used it on a Division I program since. That said, the list was based on the level of corruption and the harshness of the penalties, which is why SMU tops the list.
