I’m glad everyone is saying this is nothing new. When I lived there, I did it too.

This is just something men do. I haven’t been back in years, but this is nothing new and age has nothing to do with it.

umm… I wouldnt say this is a new “trend.”
the last time I traveled to china, at least 5 years ago, older chinese men were doing that then. I’m sure that “trend” has been as old as the shirt’s introduction to the country.

This is not a “new” trend. I’ve been in China 4 years and saw it the first day I landed. And “young men of the country find absolutely crude and disgusting.” is also wrong… there are very little things they find disgusting.

you could always spot the chinese tourists in tokyo because the dudes always had their shirts up…and when I was in Shanghai it was rampant…so fucking disgusting to me

we have the same problem in Boston with the latino community… except they gawk at women and rub their bellies and exclaim ‘mami’ every two seconds…. I’ve seen this primarily along the blue lone maverick t station stop… I call it… the MAVERICK
