1. Breaking Bad

Why is it worth your while? Never has a show made me believe I could succeed at cooking meth (don't be alarmed, I haven't tried). This show could not have ended any more perfectly than it did, and it is written well. There's a reason everyone is talking about it, people!

2. Veronica Mars

Best quote: "I think we all learned a valuable lesson about faith. You give it to the people you love. But the people who really deserve it, are the ones who come through even when you don't love them enough."

Why is it worth your while? The first season revolves around finding the true killer of Veronica(Kristen Bell)'s best friend (Amanda Seyfried). The resolution is something you truly never see coming, and it's AWESOME. If the plot doesn't reel you in, the snarky dialogue will. Plus the movie is coming out soon, and watching all the seasons will get you psyched!

3. Friday Night Lights

Best quote: "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose." (duh)

Why is it worth your while? Connie Britton's portrayal of Tami Taylor will make you jealous of Coach because you will want to be married to her.

Also, Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch). Swoon. Texas Forever!

4. Freaks and Geeks

Best season(s): ...there was only one. Which is a TRAGEDY, I tell you!

Best quote: "You couldn't be in love with someone you couldn't cut the cheese in front of."

Why is it worth your while? All-star cast of baby Seth Rogan, baby Jason Segal, baby James Franco, baby Busy Phillips, baby Martin Starr, etc. Plus, the storyline is excellent and often really funny...like when the "geeks" switch out a keg with nonalcoholic beer and trick the older kids into acting drunk.

5. Arrested Development

Why is it worth your while? Because Jason Bateman? Will Arnett? The entire cast, actually? Because it is hilarious and the best thing ever? If you haven't seen this already, you've made a huge mistake.

6. The Walking Dead

Best season(s): 1-4..that's all there is so far

Best quote: "The world we know is gone. But keeping our humanity? That's a choice."

Why is it worth your while? As long as you don't get too attached to any of the characters, since they are living in a post-apocalyptic zombie universe, this show is really, really good. The story is fantastic. Just be prepared for the unexpected!

7. American Horror Story

Best season(s): 1-2, and what has aired of 3 are all excellent.

Best quote: "Just remember if you look in the face of evil, evil is going to look right back at you."

Why is it worth your while? It's cool because each season is a different story with different characters, but it's all the same actors (plus a few new additions). It's kind of terrifying (particularly season 1). It's sexual and violent. Sometimes it's funny. Plus, Jessica Lange=perfection.

8. New Girl

Why is it worth your while? Zooey Deschanel is so weird, but it feels so right. Throw her into the same apartment as grumpy Nick (Jake Johnson), ladies' man Schmidt (Max Greenfield), and prank-loving Winston (Lamorne Morris), and you have the recipe for some must-watch, rib-tickling entertainment.

9. Awkward.

Why is it worth your while? As we are introduced to Jenna, she has just lost her virginity, and then has a terrible accident that unfortunately looks a lot like a suicide even though it was just a result of her clumsiness. Like the title suggests, awkwardness (and hilarity) ensues.

10. Pretty Little Liars

Best season(s): The seasons are divided into weird half things, but I like 1-3 best?

Best quote: "Bitch can see."

Why is it worth your while? Honestly, I ask myself every Tuesday why I still watch this show. But I can't look away.

11. Supernatural

Best season(s): All of them are pretty entertaining, but I especially like 1-4

Why is it worth your while? If you enjoy good-looking men kicking ass, then this is the show for you. Throw in some demons, vampires, ghouls, ghosts...you name it, they hunt it. Also, this show can be very silly at times, which is quite entertaining!

12. How I Met Your Mother

Why is it worth your while? We can all identify with Ted Mosby. We are Ted Mosby. Plus, Neil Patrick Harris as Barney is comedy gold and very fun to watch.

13. The Office

Why is it worth your while? This is just obvious. If you haven't watched this already, you're wrong.

14. Revenge

Best season(s): 1...but season 3 is pretty good so far!

Best quote: "When everything you love has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge."

Why is it worth your while? The storyline is pretty unique...girl's father gets framed for causing a terrorist attack, girl seeks revenge on the people who put him in jail, girl won't stop until everyone involved pays, etc, etc. Also, girl is fabulously wealthy and gets to live in the Hamptons to complete said revenge, so naturally the fashion is superb.

15. Once Upon A Time

Best quote: "You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants a magical solution for their problem, and everyone refuses to believe in magic."

Why is it worth your while? For everyone with an inner child and genuine appreciation for fairytale references. It's kind of cool because they explain all the fairytale stories we know already (i.e. any Disney movie), and put twists on how these characters became the way they are. Most importantly, it has hot men.

16. Gossip Girl

Best quote: "I'm Chuck Bass."

Why is it worth your while? Because of the fashion and sabotage. No one does bitch like Blair Waldorf. Also, the men are great to look at.

17. One Tree Hill

Best quote: "We're all crazy. Some of us just hide it better than others."

Why is it worth your while? Classic teen romance drama that is entirely unrealistic, but you can't look away no matter how hard you try. It involves half brothers with the same douche dad living in the same small town competing for the same basketball glory. Conflicts arise. Drama ensues. People always leave.
