Jamey and Tara were married for seven years. Their son, Nakhjavani, who they call "Nak," was born after two years of marriage.
Like most couples who divorce, the decision was not something they ever expected, and it was not made lightly.
Tara went on to marry Jason, who is now Nak's stepfather.
And Jason takes his role to heart.
When Jamey married Natasha, Nak got a brand new stepmom.
While Tara admittedly struggles with the idea of another person parenting her child, she appreciates the positive relationship between Natasha and Nak.
Jason and Natasha thought they were going to be speaking on a panel about blended families, but Jamey and Tara were about to surprise them by reading a heartfelt letter to their ex's new spouse.
Jamey starts to read his letter to Jason, and it gets real right away.
Tara's letter begins, "This new woman in my life, a new pair of arms that my son would be cuddled in..."
"I believe that your love for Jamey makes him a better dad, for Nak."
"I know how powerful it is for a boy to see that his mother is loved, because that's how he's going to treat his wife."
"And I love you for that, man. I'm supposed to not love you for that. But I do."
"Thank you for being who you are and for loving my boy."
