If Zimmerman was acquitted on accounts of self-defense, why hasn’t it occurred to anyone that Trayvon may have been defending himself as well? Stand your ground states that you can attack someone if you feel threatened. Any teenager being followed home by a stranger would feel threatened. Zimmerman initiated the confrontation by following Trayvon so the boy defended himself, but Zimmerman shot him to death even though he himself was the one who started it. How does any of this make sense. He shouldn’t be guilty of murder because you can’t charge someone with that without reasonable intent, which can’t be proved in this case, but the man should have at least been given manslaughter.
